Our new engineering team members hopped right into work, preparing a number of tasty treats for you, Chef! If you see 'em around the server, be sure to hand out a 👏.

  • 1️⃣ Ben decided it was about time we improved the reliability of our reward redemption workflow. He's squashed over a dozen bugs, and he's giving you the gift of a smoother experience. Expect more improvements over the coming weeks!
  • 2️⃣ Dmitry had had enough of the broken referral bonus system. He's reinstated those hard-earned referral bonuses. If you previously entered a referral code but didn't earn your bonus, get to chopping! Your bonus will automatically apply to your next earnings.
  • 3️⃣ Jason was over the clunky workflow to find your Salad application log file. He's added a shortcut to the bottom of the "Miner Details" page. If the Salad Support Team asks for your log file, don't drill down to find 'em... use the shiny, new button!

  • Updated Start button behavior
  • The Start button now turns into a progress bar during the prepping phase, filling up as prepping completes.
  • New 'Don't Lose your Progress!' screen appears when stopping prepping
  • When stopping prepping, any progress made toward getting to a successful chopping state is lost. Many users kept starting and stopping the prepping process but never got any closer to mining! To help more users successfully start chopping, a screen now appears to inform users that the progress they've made while prepping won't be saved if they continue to cancel.

Our newest hire, Scott, has come out of the gate and introduced several improvements to the Earning History Chart. It's easier than ever to get information about your earning performance.

Zoom in and out

Salad Chefs can now zoom in out of their Earning History Chart over several time periods: 24 Hours, 7 Days, and 30 Days. Previously, you were only able to view your earning performance for the last 24 Hours.

Select a range

Want to see how much you earned in an even smaller window of time? Then select a range of bars on the chart to view how much you earned during that time!

Bug Fixes & Minor Improvements

  • Signing in on a mobile device (or in a small browser window) now works as expected

  • Added a Salad icon to the Windows tray. Double-clicking on the Salad icon in the tray will toggle between showing & hiding the Salad window. Right-clicking on the Salad icon in the tray will show a context menu with an option to exit.
  • Added a status overlay to the Windows taskbar to indicate when Salad is prepping or chopping.
  • Added a "Close to Tray" option in the settings panel. When enabled, the "X" in the top right hides the Salad window. You can exit using the Salad icon in the tray.

Bug Fixes & Minor Improvements

  • Fixed Windows 10 notification center toasts.
  • Added experimental support for improved NVIDIA GPU detection using nvidia-smi.
