Register on Salad Portal
To join the Salad Container Engine beta, you must first register an account on the Salad Portal.

Click "Sign Up."

Enter your preferred email address and a strong password.

Click "Create Account."

To complete your account creation, click the one-time confirmation link sent to your email address.
Once logged in, you will be redirected to your "My Organizations" page, where you can create new SCE Organizations, manage existing ones, or send membership invitations to teammates so you can coordinate deployments together.
Creating Organizations
Portal accounts manage Organizations, a shared space where you and your team can manage deployments together. Create your first Organization in seconds!

Click the "Create Organization" link at the top right just beneath your email address.

On the next screen, enter a desired name for your Organization.

Click "Create."

To complete your account creation, click the one-time confirmation link sent to your email address.
Upon successful creation, you should be redirected back to the My Organizations page. To invite team members to an existing Organization, use the gear icon shown beside its name in the Organizations directory.
Set Up a Project
Within your Organization, you and your team can manage various Projects running on Salad Container Engine.

Once redirected to your Projects page, click "Create New Project" at the top of the page.

On the next screen, enter a desired name for your Project. You may also wish to enter a declarative description to help your teammates keep track of your Projects in the "Project Description" field.

Click "Next: Add Resources."
Request Resources
During the early enrollment period, the Container Group quota of your Projects will be locked at zero. Beta registrants may request access to container resoureces by submitting an intent form to our onboarding team as detailed below.

Click the name of your desired Organization.

Click the name of the appropriate Project.

Click "Create New Container Group."

Use the Container Details inputs to enter the name and source for your container image.*

Click "Next: Container Resources" to advance.

On the following page, you will be prompted to select technical requirements and workload configurations.

Make your selections and click "Review & Deploy."

Review your deployment. If everything is correct, click "Deploy Container Groups." If you need to make a change, click "Previous" to return to the Container Resources selection screen.

You will then be notified that you have exceeded your account's Container Group quota. Click the "Request Increase" button to finalize your access request through our production deployment request form.
We will manually review all submissions and whitelist eligible accounts on a rolling basis over the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on the official Salad Container Engine launch!
