What your GPU really earns on Salad.
Measured from machines that ran a real week on Salad, including the hours nobody had work for them. Pick your card to see what to expect.
Here is what a GPU makes.
Top chefs
What the best-placed 1% of machines made per hour, and the big number on the card. Cards with fewer than 50 machines lead with the average instead. Fast internet, a machine left on, and a bit of luck get you there.
Average
Everything machines with this card earned last week, divided by every hour they were chopping. A few machines earn a lot, which pulls the average above what a typical machine sees.
Most machines
The middle half of these machines landed inside this range. If you are new, expect to start here.
Has a job running
The share of chopping hours where a container job was on your card. Your machine can still earn from bandwidth sharing the rest of the time, so leave it running.
Every card, side by side.
Ranked by average earnings per chopping hour. Choose a card to see it above. Cards with fewer than 50 qualifying machines do not show a top-chefs figure.
| # | GPU | Average /hr | Most machines | Top chefs | Avg time with a job |
|---|
Single-GPU machines that averaged four hours a day or more. Machines with two or more cards are counted separately. Data: last 7 days.
An average above the most-machines range happens when a few machines earn much more than the rest. The average counts every dollar; the range shows where the middle half of machines landed.
Give your machine room to work
If you are aiming at the top-chef numbers above, we recommend 32 GB of system RAM and 500 GB of free storage. The spare storage lets your machine keep more workloads cached, so a job starts fast when one lands.
Honest numbers, on purpose.
Measured from every machine on the network for the week shown. Nothing here is a projection.
Every hour counts
We divide by every hour a machine was chopping, not just the hours it had a job. Waiting for work is part of the real number, so it is part of ours.
Machines that actually ran
These come from every machine that averaged at least four hours a day of chopping, not a hand-picked sample or a showcase rig. A machine that ran for an hour tells you nothing about a week, so it sits this one out.
All your earnings count
Container jobs, bandwidth sharing and mining are all in. Bandwidth swings week to week and carries a big share of the total on older and entry-level cards, so keep it switched on.
Your GPU is already good enough. Put it to work.
