What runs on my PC?

Real work, in a sealed box.

Customer compute workloads run inside an isolated virtual machine, separate from Windows and your personal files. Salad shows when a workload is active, but does not reveal the customer, workload type, or workload contents.

  • Compute workloads run in an isolated Linux VM, separate from Windows
  • Customer workloads cannot browse your Windows files
  • You choose when Salad runs and can pause instantly
  • Crypto mining is presented during signup, enabled by default, and can be disabled in settings
